Alyssia brings home another medal

20th March 2017

Alyssia Tromans-Ansell recently enjoyed more International Archery medal success, this time whilst competing in the European Indoor Championships in Vittel, France.

In the individual competition, after a high scoring ranking round, Alyssia kept her nerve whilst facing intense competition, progressing through but being knocked out by a much older and experienced Russian archer just ahead of the medal matches.

Bronze medal

As part of the Great Britain Junior Women’s Recurve Team (Under 21 age Category) Alyssia again held her own against age and experience to be an integral part of a strong GB team to secure another amazing European Bronze after a solid 6-0 win over Poland – being supported in the team box by her coach and 4 times Olympian Naomi Folkard.

This is now her third International medal, adding to her Cadet Ladies Team Bronze from Romania 2016 and her individual World Cup Junior Gold in Nimes in January, an astounding achievement for a 15 year old.

Mum Sharon Tromans-Ansell said “Once again, we owe a big thank you for all of the kindness, generosity, understanding and support that the staff and teachers at St. Dominic’s so kindly offer Alyssia”.
